Faqt hover tank3/26/2023 ![]() OK, geez I hate schooling these fools, what a waste of time! Rocket planes?, why the heck should I mention them?, they are nothing: I don't need to avoid them silly boy, I rarely have to deal with them, as a ship, they are a non-factor to me only when on super-low HP left, and when it's that low, anyone can kill you, besides rocket fighters weren't even in any topic. The upcoming limit of carriers to one per game (unfortunately a soft limit for tier IV) is a tacit admission that carriers are broken and lack counters. The severely overpowered Tier IV carrier population has doubled since the rework.įor discussion and demonstration of the overpowered nature of even high tier carriers, including demonstration of the ineffectiveness of high tier AA (you heard me right, including multiple AA ship blobs) against correct play, see the above player's posts in the various CV threads on the forum. You didnt mention rocket planes, I suppose you avoid them with regularity? I do still play those tiers, mostly to hunt carriers, which is of course usually forlorn, but very satisfying when successful. ![]() On the other hand, the lower tier carriers in game have an AA suite much closer to what they received in post-commission upgrades, in addition to having CAP fighters even while their fighter squadron is off merrily rocketing destroyers. Many such ships are in-game fodder for carriers due to a lack of updated AA. The Minekaze and Kamikaze-class ships were carrying up to twenty 25mm AA guns in WWII they have ZERO to TWO in game. She does not have this in game even though there is no reason for this to not be so it would not have any effect on surface combat. Tenryu, for example had a 3" AA gun, 2-4 x2 25mm and 2x2 MGs by early 1942, even though she was envisaged as a leader of night DD attacks. The AA is realistic how? The ships of these tiers that were still in service in WWII had considerably augmented AA armament by or just after the beginning of WWII.Ī couple of examples. You are including ships at tier III and IV, most of which were no longer in service when the first carrier was commissioned in 1922 and certainly not by the first time carriers were used in combat in 1939 (Hosho was used for fighter and ground attack in 1932). As far as the gentlemen who mentions CVs of T6 & up being 'playable' sure T6 isn't too bad, and yeah being more 'supporting' in T8 & up, well no dah, you have no choice! What I'm asking for in the higher Tier 8 & 10 is to be able to make 1 full pass at an enemy, the rest can be shot down, but all being wiped out is too much, too often. If y'all need extra help b/c CV planes traumatize you so, then go buy the USS Texas, I live 50 miles from her, she's a beauty. Other than that your post is complete garbage.Īlso, another thing y'all fail to mention is the AA being realistic in the Tier 4 CV opponent tiers (3-6), these are pre-WW2 ships w/ CVs using pre-WW2 planes Air power had not been proven yet where anything was completely done about it AA-wise for those of you that may be educated enough to bring up Mr. You pretty much hover over ships until you get bored. Your tier 4 self defense fighters do nothing for your team, or their ability to defend themselves. He sounds like a CNN commentator or one of those wack-os from "the View". That pretty much sums up the haters like Amenhir folks he spreads misinformation. ![]() Pay attention this time kid, I have no time to tutor you in English comprehension. ![]() In Tier 8, I was passing by a Worchester, and all 12 planes were shot down almost instantly, that sums it up. Also, my inability to read-between-the-line friend, I NEVER complete all torp runs w/ all the planes in the flight b/c 1 or 2 will be guaranteed shot down. Tier 4 CV auto defense fighters, for example, will still waste you quickly when activated. That's your statement, not mine, I clearly state it's the most fun ships are not defenseless, however you are clueless. ![]() No, you must've been a kid that had to go to summer school b/c he had trouble w/ reading comprehension. ![]()
